While thanking the people of the two states for their support, Obi urged them to collect their Permanent Voter Cards which would enable them to vote on February 25 at the presidential poll and in the subsequent elections.
Ahead of the presidential election slated for this month, the candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has said a new, prosperous Nigeria is waiting to emerge if he is elected.
Obi made the declaration on his campaign tour of the South-East which took him to Abia and Ebonyi states on Friday.
The former Anambra State governor promised to invest massively in critical infrastructure, education, and health to turn around the fortunes of the country and the prosperity of her people.
“Datti and I are from the private sector and have managed public funds. My records in Anambra State where I served for eight years are all verifiable.
“I urge you to ask questions about who you want to entrust your future in their hands. What is their name? Which school did they attend? Where are they from? How did they fare in their previous responsibilities” he asked.
While thanking the people of the two states for their support, Obi urged them to collect their Permanent Voter Cards which would enable them to vote on February 25 at the presidential poll and in the subsequent elections.
